Why choose the HSA140R cordless hedge trimmer?

Powerful pruning with low blade speed

The Stihl HSA 140 R operates at lower blade speeds (up to 3,400 strokes per minute) but offers higher cutting force, making it ideal for clearing thicker twigs and large hedges. The wide tooth spacing (38 mm) and longer tooth height allow you to cut through dense branches confidently and efficiently.

Double-sided blades for versatile work

The hsa 140 r features a double-sided cutting blade designed for heavy-duty applications, enabling precise vertical, horizontal, and angled cuts. This makes it easy to tackle reduction work or rejuvenation pruning without switching tools.

Rotating multi-function handle for better ergonomics

The handle rotates 90° left or right, allowing you to maintain a comfortable grip and optimal cutting angle, even when working at awkward positions or overhead. The integrated control cockpit stays accessible regardless of handle orientation.

Integrated battery slot for cordless freedom

With the Stihl HSA 140 R, there’s no need for an external battery cable. The built-in battery slot offers complete freedom of movement and better tool balance. Using the recommended AP 200 S battery, you can expect up to 150 minutes of runtime on a single charge.

Anti-jamming function for smooth operation

If the blades get stuck on thicker material, the anti-jamming feature automatically reverses movement to help clear blockages without damaging the tool or blades. This reduces downtime and keeps you working efficiently.

Built for demanding professional use

The hsa140r is equipped with a durable EC motor and advanced gearbox system that delivers high cutting force and rapid acceleration to working speed. The STIHL anti-vibration system minimises strain on arms and hands, making it more comfortable during long sessions. Screw-on cut protection and a robust tip protector help safeguard the blade and prevent accidental damage.

Smart connectivity ready

The HSA 140 R is compatible with the STIHL Smart Connector, allowing it to be integrated into your STIHL connected fleet management system for tracking runtime, planning maintenance, and optimising usage.

Flexible battery options

While optimised for the AP 200 S, the Stihl HSA 140 R can also be paired with larger batteries such as the AP 300 S or AP 500 S for extended runtime. Keep in mind that larger batteries add weight and may slightly affect balance.
