    Used VIKING MT 5097 C with Recently Fitted Deck

    This used VIKING MT 5097 C is a rear-collect petrol ride-on mower for maintaining larger lawns. Its main selling point is the replacement cutting deck, which was fitted only a few months ago.

    The machine itself is used and has age-related marks. The seat base is worn and currently has a protective cover fitted. The photographs show the actual mower being offered for sale.

    Recently Fitted 95cm Cutting Deck

    The 95cm deck uses two angled blades to cut across its full working width and feed the grass into the rear discharge chute. The replacement deck has only been fitted for a few months, giving the buyer a much newer cutting assembly than would normally be found on a machine of this age.

    Please note that the age refers to the replacement deck, not the complete mower.

    Cut and Collect in One Pass

    Cut grass is carried through the rear discharge chute into the 250-litre collection box. The collector can be emptied from the driving position using the long handle, reducing the need to repeatedly get off the machine.

    A collector fill sensor lets the operator know when the box needs emptying.

    Hydrostatic Drive

    The hydrostatic transmission provides variable travel speed without manually changing gears. A single drive pedal controls movement, while a separate lever is used to select forward or reverse.

    This arrangement makes the MT 5097 C easier to control around trees, beds and other garden obstacles.

    Briggs & Stratton Petrol Engine

    Power comes from a 500cc Briggs & Stratton Series 4155 Intek OHV petrol engine. The electric blade clutch allows the cutting deck to be switched on and off from the operator’s seat.

    Condition of the Seat

    The seat base is worn and has been covered, as shown in the photographs. This is a cosmetic condition point buyers should be aware of and has been reflected clearly in the listing.
