The Okatsune 301 Harvest Snips are compact, curved-blade scissors made for careful harvesting of fruit and vegetables. Their rounded 25 mm blades cut cleanly through stems while keeping sharp edges away from delicate produce, reducing the risk of bruising or tearing.
Weighing just 105 g and hand-forged in Japan from Izumo Yasugi steel, these Okatsune snips offer effortless precision in tight spaces. Available from Suffolk Mowers with full UK support and lifetime warranty.
Gentle Precision for Harvesting
The Okatsune 301 Harvest Snips are designed for clean, controlled harvesting of fruit, vegetables, and soft-stem crops. Their compact 160 mm body and curved 25 mm blades let you cut close to the stem while protecting fruit from damage. Ideal for use in greenhouses, allotments, or raised beds, they deliver quick, accurate cuts with a single hand.
Crafted for Control
Each pair is hand-forged in Japan from Izumo Yasugi high-carbon steel — the same metal used across Okatsune’s professional cutting tools. The fine curved blades naturally guide the cutting motion away from delicate produce, preventing bruising and tearing. A smooth spring-assisted handle ensures comfortable operation, even during long harvest sessions.
Lightweight and Easy to Use
At only 105 g, the Okatsune 301 feels light, agile, and balanced. The compact handle allows excellent manoeuvrability in dense foliage or confined spaces, making these snips ideal for greenhouse or tunnel work where precision is key.
Recommended Uses
- Harvesting tomatoes, grapes, peppers, and soft fruit
- Cutting salad crops and vegetable stems
- Light pruning or trimming in greenhouses and polytunnels
- Accurate cutting in confined spaces and raised beds
Maintenance and Care
Clean the blades after each session and apply a light oil film to prevent sap buildup or corrosion. The Izumo Yasugi steel holds its edge well, but occasional honing with a whetstone will keep the blades razor-sharp. Simple care ensures smooth cutting and extends the tool’s lifespan for many seasons.
Lifetime Warranty for Lasting Confidence
When purchased through Suffolk Mowers, the Okatsune 301 Harvest Snips include a lifetime warranty. If a manufacturing defect ever occurs, your snips will be repaired or replaced free of charge. With basic care, they’ll deliver precise, clean cuts year after year.
