Our As New Cobra Fortis 14L Cylinder Mower
This is our ex-display Cobra Fortis 14L, and the mower you can see in the photos is the actual machine for sale. It has been assembled and displayed in our showroom, so you may see the odd light cosmetic mark from being moved around, but you can see exactly what you are buying.
If you want a proper cylinder mower for a close, striped finish, the Fortis 14L is a very capable machine. It uses a 35 cm / 14″ six-blade cutting cylinder together with steel front and rear rollers to give a clean cut and strong definition to the lawn.
196cc Loncin Engine with Self-Propelled Drive
The Fortis 14L is powered by a 196cc Loncin G200F petrol engine, so there is plenty of power for regular mowing and the additional Fortis lawncare cartridges. The mower is self-propelled, meaning the machine drives itself forward rather than relying on you to push its 74 kg weight around the lawn.
6–30 mm Cutting Height for a Close Finish
The standard six-blade cylinder can be adjusted between 6 and 30 mm, making it particularly well suited to lawns where you want a shorter, more formal finish. Cobra quotes 95 cuts per metre from the standard cylinder, while the steel front roller and split smooth steel rear roller help leave the striped finish you would expect from a traditional cylinder mower.
More Than Just a Lawnmower
One of the biggest advantages of the Fortis range is the interchangeable cartridge system. The cutting cylinder can be swapped for optional lawncare cartridges including a scarifier, verticutter, dethatcher, aerator and lawn brush, allowing the same machine to handle much more of your lawn maintenance throughout the year.
An optional 10-blade cylinder is also available for an even finer finish and can reduce the minimum cutting height to around 3 mm.
55 Litre Grass Box Included
The large 55 litre front grass box collects clippings as you mow and can be removed quickly for emptying. Combined with the self-propelled drive and heavy-duty transmission, the Fortis 14L is a substantial machine suited to anyone who takes their lawn finish seriously.
This is an ex-display machine and the photographs on this page show the actual mower available for sale.

Frequently Asked Questions About This Cobra Fortis 14L
Is this the actual ex-display mower shown in the photos?
Yes. The photographs on this page show the actual Cobra Fortis 14L we have available. It has been assembled and used for display, so you may notice the odd light cosmetic mark from being moved around.
Who is the Cobra Fortis 14L best suited to?
This is a good choice if you want a traditional close-cut lawn with clear stripes and a much finer finish than you would normally get from a rotary mower. It is particularly well suited to regularly maintained lawns where appearance matters.
How low will the Fortis 14L cut?
The standard six-blade cylinder adjusts from 6–30 mm. If you want an even finer, lower cut, Cobra also offers an optional 10-blade cylinder cartridge which can reduce the cutting height to around 3 mm.
Does the mower drive itself?
Yes. The Fortis 14L is self-propelled, so the engine drives the mower forward rather than you having to push the full 74 kg machine around the lawn.
Can I use other Fortis cartridges with this mower?
Yes. The Fortis 14L is designed around Cobra’s interchangeable cartridge system. Optional cartridges include a scarifier, verticutter, dethatcher, aerator, lawn brush and 10-blade cutting cylinder.
Will the Fortis 14L leave lawn stripes?
Yes. It uses a steel front roller and split smooth steel rear roller, which help produce the strong striped finish associated with a proper cylinder mower.
Can I see this mower before buying?
Yes. As this is our ex-display machine, you are welcome to contact us if you would like to discuss its condition in more detail or arrange to view it before purchase.
