The STIHL WSA 40 is a robust, battery-powered pressurised water container designed to provide a reliable water supply for cut-off machines on construction sites, landscaping projects, or areas without access to running water. Supplied as a complete set with AS 2 battery and AL 1 charger, it’s ready to go straight from the box.
Built for convenience and efficiency, the WSA 40 automatically maintains pressure with its electric pump head – eliminating the need for manual pumping. This ensures a consistent water flow to cool cutting wheels, control dust, and deliver cleaner, safer cuts during masonry or concrete work.

Durable Design with All-Weather Protection
Featuring a 10-litre transparent tank with a wide, funnel-style opening and a visible level indicator, refilling and monitoring are simple. The unit includes a pressure relief valve and a 4-metre water hose with quick coupling for flexible use. Thanks to its IPX4 splash protection rating, the WSA 40 can be used confidently in wet or dusty environments. The soft-grip handle and battery cover further protect against debris, water, and dirt.
Smart, Energy-Efficient Performance
The AS 2 battery powers the pump for up to 30 minutes per charge, supplying approximately 5 full tanks of water before recharging. The variable pressure dial lets you fine-tune flow to suit different applications, and the LED charge indicator keeps you aware of remaining power. When idle or empty, an automatic sleep mode activates to preserve battery life.
Compatible Across the STIHL AS System
The WSA 40 shares its battery-powered pump head with other tools in the STIHL range, including the SGA 30 cordless sprayer, SG 31 sprayer, and TS water tank. This cross-compatibility makes it a versatile addition for users already working with STIHL’s AS System cordless tools.
