MSA 161 T Cordless Chainsaw: Top-handle cordless chainsaw for professional use, with a choice of bar lengths

The MSA 161 T is the next generation in cordless top handle chainsaws. This light weight chainsaw features a 40% higher chain speed and 15% increase in motor performance over its predecessor, the MSA 160 T. The low profile, ¼ P chain reduces chain chatter for a smooth and precise finish. The battery-powered chainsaw features a trigger side-lock button for added safety, a large throttle interlock lever and carrying ring for attaching the saw for aerial use. The cordless nature of the new saw means that the MSA 161 T is so quiet in operation that you will not need ear defenders while working.

SIDE-MOUNTED CHAIN TENSIONING

FOR SIMPLE AND SECURE RE-TENSIONING. Side-mounted chain tensioning allows for protected, easy and quick chain tensioning and replacement. The position of the tensioning screw is lateral and through the sprocket cover.

TOOL-FREE FUEL CAP FOR OIL AND FUEL TANKS

QUICK AND EASY TO USE. With tool-free fuel cap, you can open and close oil and fuel tanks in just a few simple steps, thanks to a bayonet closure.

EC MOTOR

LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC motor enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

TOOL-FREE OIL TANK

Thanks to the soft grip on the control handle, the chainsaw sits comfortably in the hand and can be operated safely. In addition, the soft material improves your grip, allowing you to use the chainsaw well  in wet and dry  conditions.

CONSTANT POWER

When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn’t the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

IPX4 CERTIFIED

SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The AP 200 S is IPX4 certified thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.
