KMA 120 R Cordless KombiMotor: Professional battery-powered KombiMotor with adjustable loop handle

The STIHL KMA 120 R is a battery-powered KombiMotor designed for professionals taking on a variety of gardening, landscaping and maintenance tasks throughout the working day. The KMA 120 R is battery powered meaning it has low noise emission – making it ideal for work in noise-sensitive areas such as schools, hospitals and quiet neighbourhoods. It’s powered by a 36-volt lithium-ion battery and is quiet, efficient and powerful enough to tackle a variety of tasks – whether it’s pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing or cutting! Compatible with all KombiTools (except FSB-KM), attaching and changing tools is made simple too – all you need to do is insert your desired tool into the shaft and tighten to secure it in place.

Fitted with a new style loop handle that has a quick-mounting system, meaning you can adjust the handle to your height for an ergonomic working position. This handle also makes tackling tasks on slopes, around trees or on uneven terrains even easier. The KMA 120 R has a powerful brushless EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 2 different speed settings. There is an ECO mode (level 1), for KombiTools suited to simple tasks such as trimming lawn edges, which results in lower energy consumption for extended battery life. And there is full speed mode (level 2), for KombiTools suited to tasks that need more power, such as clearing leaves which requires extra battery energy. However, depending on the KombiTool attached, the speed adjustment can also be infinitely variable.

You can use any of the AP batteries with the KMA 120, however, working times will vary depending on which attachment you use with it. The AP 500 S battery will give you the longest working times but is also the heaviest of the AP batteries, so you may decide to choose a smaller capacity battery if you are going to be using the tool for a longer period of time, such as when hedge trimming.

The KMA 120 R is supplied with a basic harness as standard. KombiTools sold separately.

FOR SAFE WORK IN SMALL SPACES. The loop handle ensures good manoeuvrability of your tool, even in confined spaces. The bar protects you by ensuring your feet and legs cannot come too close to blades or mowing heads during work.

BATTERY COMPARTMENT IN THE ENGINE CASING

DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE tool. With this tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.

QUICK-RELEASE COUPLING WITH CLAMPING SCREW

QUICK ASSEMBLY OF KOMBITOOLS. Thanks to the quick-release coupling, the various KombiTools for your tool can be connected and disconnected quickly and without tools.

DETACHABLE SHAFT

FOR COMFORTABLE TRANSPORT AND STORAGE. Thanks to the detachable shaft, you can quickly dismantle your tool for easier transport, and also store it in a space-saving manner. You do not need any tools to disassemble the shaft.

CONSTANT POWER

When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn’t the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

IPX4 CERTIFIED

SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The AP 200 S is IPX4 certified thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.
