TSA 230.1 Cordless Cut-Off Machine: Battery-powered with 9″ cutting wheel

The TSA 230.1 is a 9” (230 mm) battery-powered cut-off machine in the STIHL AP System. It’s exceptionally easy to handle thanks to its compact and well-balanced design and is designed for professionals working in construction, hardscaping and pipework – making it an ideal choice for making short cuts on paving stones, brickwork and steel. 

Fitted as standard with a K-ME abrasive cutting wheel, the TSA 230.1 has improved cutting performance compared to the TSA 230.0 model, with a higher power output of 2.1 kW and faster overall cutting speed. This extends the types of jobs and applications the cut-of machine can carry out. 

As the TSA 230.1 is battery-powered, it has low noise emissions during cutting. It is fitted with a powerful low-maintenance EC motor which operates almost wear-free, is quiet and has smooth running and low vibrations – it also ensures the tool operates at optimum performance throughout the entire battery charge. 

Thanks to its emission-free operation, the TSA 230.1 can be used inside buildings. The integrated water connection is easy to set-up too. A fixed magnesium guard has an integrated water guide and is reinforced by stainless steel, providing a clear view of the cutting wheel during use. An integrated spindle lock makes for quick and easy changing of the cutting wheel – simply press the spindle lock, loosen the retaining screw and then tighten it again. 

The TSA 230.1 must be used with the AP 300 S battery for maximum performance. If you use an AP 200 S, there will be a reduction in performance. On a full charge with the AP 300 S, the TSA 230.1 has a working time of 20 minutes.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND STABLE. The cutting wheel guard ensures that you are not hit by flying cut material or cooling water from the cutting wheel. The cast magnesium guard is very lightweight and robust.

SPINDLE LOCK MECHANISM

Cutting wheels can be changed quickly and easily.

LOW-MAINTENANCE MOTOR TECHNOLOGY

The EC motor with maintenance-free belt drive and enclosed control unit is very durable and low maintenance.

WATER CONNECTION

FOR DUST BINDING AND COOLING. When working with your tool, a permanent water supply is provided for flushing the cutting wheel. It is used to bind dust and cool the cut. With the water connection directly on the tool, this rinsing is easy and permanently assured.
